Hand appliqued Cashmere Sweater
USA

Meandering floral vines stretch across the front of the sweater supporting a peacock in their highest branch. A large flower and vine motif adorns the back of the sweater as well. The embroidery and appliqué are all done by hand. The sweater was created in the style of Helen Bond Caruthers by a Southern lady. The buttons are covered with cashmere, the cuffs and waistband have been turned under for a snug fit and the soft cashmere is lined in a matching blue crepe.

This charming and feminine vintage sweater is in excellent condition.
